Privacy Policy

Flying Cars and your privacy

In our mission to help great causes create and deliver new ideas that work, we inevitably collect and process a little bit of personal data. This policy explains as plainly as possible what information we collect from you, how it’s used, and how you can manage or delete any information about you that we hold.

What information do we collect?

Sometimes we’ll ask you to fill out a form on our website. For example, to register for an event, download a guide or white paper, or enquire about our products and services. We’ll only use that personal data to contact you for a different purpose if you’ve given us explicit consent – usually by ticking a box when you submit the form.

Almost all websites use cookies – small text files that are stored on your device – to make the user experience better, and ours is no exception. We use third-party cookies from services like Google Analytics which, while they give us lots of data, can’t be used to identify you personally.

Your device (computer, phone etc.) also sends information about you, like where you are, what operating system you’re using, and what network you’re accessing the internet from. We also access this data via third-party services like Google Analytics and Hubspot, but we’re not interested in using it to identify you personally (though we may use it to figure out what company you work for).

If you complete market research for us?

The information you provide will normally be used to help a client better understand how well they’re doing in the marketplace or to help them create or improve a service or similar. Data is presented back to our client in an aggregated, anonymised, format unless you consent to us providing them with your data with any identifying information included, e.g. where you live, your name and so on. This would be freely given and not be a requirement of conducting market research unless the research required it for a specific lawful reason, e.g. to pay you your incentive after completing the research, or to conduct face-to-face research which you would opt-in to and so on.

How do we use your data?

If you’ve given us permission, we’ll use your data to send you marketing materials. These might consist of email newsletters and notifications about events we are planning. We might even call you, but again, we’ll only contact you for the purpose, and via the medium, that you’ve given us permission for.

How do we keep your data safe?

All the forms we use, including those on third-party sites, make use of SSL encryption. We also make sure that your personal data is only accessible by appropriately trained staff.

Not all the personal data we hold is stored on our own servers. For example, the forms we use to collect information on our site runs operations outside the European Economic Area (EEA). By submitting your personal information to us you agree to this transfer, storing or processing at a location outside the EEA.

If required to do so, we may have to share your personal information with the police, regulatory bodies or legal advisors. In any other circumstances, we’ll only share your data with third-parties if we have your explicit and informed consent.

What are your options for updating or deleting your personal data?

You can update your details and marketing preferences by emailing data@flyingcarsinnovation.com.

You have the right to access the personal information we hold about you. To receive a copy of that personal information, please send an email to data@flyingcarsinnovation.com. You will have to provide proof of identification.

You can also ask us to stop processing any personal data we hold about you.
